Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for July 24th, 2020. Today we’ve got a bunch of new releases to check out, though very few of them are worth getting up out of your chair for. The bigger news today is an absolutely massive list of new sales, featuring deep discounts on Square Enix titles and a lot of indie games that don’t often go on sale. Let’s get to it!

A chess card game" Hmm, that has potential. But that’s not exactly what this is. Chess Ace is actually a series of chess puzzles. You have to collect all of the clubs on the board within a certain number of moves. Your basic piece is a pawn, and it obviously can’t get much done on its own. That’s where the cards come in. They let you change your pawn into another piece for one move. You get more than 200 levels, and there are a variety of skins to choose from so you can alter the game’s appearance now and then to keep things fresh. It’s worth pointing out that this game is available on mobile as a free game with an IAP to remove ads for $1.99, so if you don’t mind playing over there you can save a few bucks. But you know, I think this is a rather nice game all around and is well-worth even the eight bucks the Switch version is asking for. Jisei: The First Case HD ($4.99)
