Look, didn’t I say yesterday that the Switch was far from done for the year" I’m going to pretend that I knew DOOM Eternal‘s release date was super-close when I wrote that. There’s a lot of news today, which is great because there’s only one new release. As I spent most of the day at the hospital being poked and prodded, I didn’t have time to write any reviews. ‘DOOM Eternal’ Prepares to Rip and Tear on Switch on December 8th
Back when DOOM Eternal was first announced, it was said to be coming day and date on the Switch with all other platforms. That didn’t exactly work out, and even the hope that it was coming soon after the other versions quickly evaporated. By the time the first DLC, The Ancient Gods, hit the other platforms with the Switch version still not in sight, some people started thinking it might be canceled. Well, it’s not. Cool. It’s coming as a digital-only release (you’ll need about 18 GB free for it) on December 8th, with the DOOM 64 and Rip and Tear Pack bonuses available to those who buy the game within the first couple of weeks of its release.
