‘Tetris 99’ Gets DLC That Adds Offline Play Modes

Tetris 99 came out of nowhere with a fun take on a well-worn classic. Massive online Tetris battles were a great value add for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, and the semi-regular tournament events have been pretty fun. But what about when you’re not online" What if you just want a little standard Tetris" In a bit of surprise good news, Tetris 99 now offers a download pack that will cure that particular ailment. The Big Block DLC is now available for $9.99, and it includes two new modes immediately with more coming down the road. The first new mode allows you to battle 98 CPU opponents in a CPU Battle. The second new mode, Marathon, is the familiar game where you have to try to get as many lines and points as possible.
