Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for January 8th, 2021. This ended up being a fairly quiet Friday in terms of new releases, but that’s a good thing because I spent half the day at the hospital. It seems like things will be getting back to normal next week, however. Still, there’s enough going on today that the entire eShop went down for a bit. Some kind of demo about killing big animals and wearing their faces as hats or something. There are a couple of new releases to check out, and a relatively big list of new sales to check out. ‘Monster Hunter Rise’ Demo Now Available

Capcom’s finally getting its butt in gear on the Nintendo Switch, and Monster Hunter Rise shows just what it looks like when a world-class third-party whips our favorite hybrid console to its limits with an original title. But don’t take my word for it, friends. Head on over to the eShop and download the demo for the game. It gives you a solid taste of what we can expect when the final product releases on March 26th of this year. Hunt on your own or gather a few friends for some online or local multiplayer missions.
