Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for July 17th, 2020. What do you get when you have a huge list of new releases and an absolutely massive bunch of new discounts" Some very sore hands for Shaun, that’s what. We’ve got summaries of all the new games that hit the eShop today, plus the aforementioned big-boy list of incoming sales. The outgoing sales are there as well, but they did nothing to harm my aging joints and tendons. Let’s dive in!
New Releases
Paper Mario: The Origami King ($59.99)

With the release of this game, it’s official: Paper Mario as a series has fewer RPGs in it than non-RPGs, even if we very liberally consider Super Paper Mario an RPG. What I’m trying to say here is that it’s perhaps time to let go of the idea that any given new installment is going to suddenly follow up on The Thousand-Year Door and instead appreciate these games for what they are. They’re very creative little adventure games filled with interesting puzzles and humorous writing, and at least for me, that’s enough. If you don’t feel the same, that’s fair. Anyway, I’m excited to see what’s up with that sinister Origami Peach, and will be devoting my weekend to finding out all about her and her ominous plans. Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus ($39.99)
