Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for August 19th, 2020. Well, yesterday’s IndieWorld Showcase certainly had a lot of things to talk about in it. We’ll cover some of the major points before heading into the unexpectly large list of new releases that resulted from it. Some really great games hit in conjunction with the presentation, so I hope you kept some extra money. Like, a lot of extra money. Because, you see, there are also some really great sales today as well. Phew! Let’s get to it!

Tons of News from the ‘IndieWorld Showcase’

In around 20 minutes yesterday, Nintendo’s latest IndieWorld Showcase showed off a bunch of new and upcoming indie games, many of which we hadn’t heard about before. A number of them even dropped on the eShop just after the presentation. It’s best to watch it yourself, but the highlights included Torchlight 3 (coming this fall), Supergiant’s Hades (also coming in the fall), Hypnospace Outlaw (coming August 27th), Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero (coming early 2021), and Card Shark (coming 2021). A sizzle reel of several more indies was shown, and the show capped off with the announcement of a free update to Untitled Goose Game that adds a two-player mode, coming on September 23rd.
