Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for June 15th, 2020. In today’s article, we’ve got a batch of new Mini-Views for you to check out. There are a few truly awesome games in there, so make sure you have a read. There is also a summary of the lone new release that came in over the weekend, and the usual list of incoming and outgoing sales. Let’s get started!
Mini-Views
The TakeOver ($19.99)

There are quite a few beat-em-ups on the Switch that draw inspiration from SEGA’s Streets of Rage series, and it’s interesting to see the different ways they express that. The TakeOver is obviously riffing on the sights and sounds of that classic franchise, but it has a combat system with its own complexities and quirks. The game has a pre-rendered look that some will love and some won’t, but the moment-to-moment action and exciting set pieces make this game a real winner. I wish I could remap my controls, as the game’s default set-up is hard for me to wrap my brain around, but I suppose the Switch OS itself can handle that in a somewhat annoying way. Anyway, if you’ve finished Streets of Rage 4 and are looking for another top-class beat-em-up, you won’t be unhappy with The TakeOver. SwitchArcade Score: 4/5
