It’s a bit of a light one today as most folks are either just coming back from or are still on their holiday vacations. Still, we’ve got a couple of news items, a new release to look at, and a few new sales of note. It’s also worth mentioning that the majority of the Christmas sales are ending tomorrow, so it’s probably time to grab those games you were thinking about grabbing while the grabbing is still good. “Now You’re Playing With Spirit Power" Event Starting Soon in ‘Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’

The next Spirit Event is starting on January 4th in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Running for three days, it’s titled “Now You’re Playing With Spirit Power", celebrating all things NES, Famicom, and Famicom Disk System. There aren’t any exclusive spirits this time around, but associated spirits will have a greatly increased chance of showing up during this event. ‘Celeste’ is Now Available to Pre-Order in Physical Form at Limited Run Games

Celeste was one of the most praised indie releases of 2018, and its Switch version is excellent. You can buy it right now on the eShop, of course, but if you want a physical copy and have $34.99 in your pocket, you can make those dreams come true.
