Welcome to the SwitchArcade Roundup for June 18th! We’ve got a few news pieces, and a roundup of a ton of sales, because the ride never ends, folks. I’ve seen some complaints recently about people saying the Switch doesn’t have enough content later this year. What are you talking about" The Switch gets a dozen games a week, and while many are ports, you’re telling me that you’ve played every single new game that once popped up on the eShop" I’m calling shenanigans. While the Switch might not have the AAA third-party lineup quite yet, it’s absolutely overflowing with killer indies, and Nintendo’s released some heavy hitters so far. Be patient, and enjoy all the great games, no matter who made them.
News Fortnite gets strange countdown on Switch, and 4.4 Content Update tomorrow
A strange countdown timer, with the zero time being sometime on Tuesday, June 19th, appeared in the Switch version of the game…and only the Switch version. Strange! Could it be the introduction of cross-platform progression" I imagine that it would take a client update to sort out the issues that have now arisen, especially with people playing on new accounts. Or maybe Epic just wants to give some teases for their new Switch players. Hmm!
