This week's Hearthstone [Free] Tavern Brawl is the shifty ShiftCon, but it looks like it's too buggy to work at the moment. If you log into Hearthstone right now, you'll get a message that "We're aware that some players can't access the Tavern Brawl right now. We're working hard to fix the issue. Thanks for your patience." So, if you were planning on playing the Brawl right now, you might be unable to actually start a match. The actual brawl is all about the cheap but very powerful legendary Shifter Zerus. Each player gets a random deck consisting of many Shifter Zerus and some random spells from your chosen class. And each player starts with 3 mana.

As you'd expect from a Legendary that transforms into a different minion each turn is in your hand, there's a lot of RNG in ShiftCon. You'll do well if you manage to get some strong minions on curve, and you'll probably lose if you keep getting minions that are too expensive or too situational. Remember that ShiftCon changes every single turn it's in your hand, so don't play a minion just to play one if it isn't a strong one. Enjoy the Brawl, once it's actually playable.
