Dropbox on iOS Now Lets You Sign PDFs, Share Files in iMessage, More

Dropbox released the latest update for its iOS application, which includes five new features.
First, users can now sign PDF files within Dropbox. Specifically, when viewing a PDF, a user can now tap a button to sign their name in a window, and afterward, they can drag their signature to the proper line on the document.
Second, iOS 10 users can now share Dropbox files with their contacts from within iMessage. Files are shared as part of users’ conversations.
In addition, iOS 10 users can also now add the Dropbox widget to their lock screens. The widget contains buttons that allow users to quickly scan a document, upload photos and create a file. In addition, the widget displays a list of a user’s recent files. Elsewhere, when a user is working with others on the same file, the app will now notify them when another user saves a new version of the file they’re viewing. Users can tap to reload the file to see the latest version.
Finally, the Dropbox app now supports picture-in-picture on iPad, which allows a user to watch a video from their Dropbox while using another app. In addition, in a blog post, Matteus Pan, group product manager at Dropbox, said the app will be updated with split-screen support “in the coming weeks.”
Dropbox is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store.
