Facebook appears to be testing a new way to get users chatting on its Messenger application: conversation topics.
TechCrunch readers Chris Messina and Dan Simpson shared the iOS screenshots to the right and below, respectively, with Sarah Perez, who reported that Facebook was conducting a small test of the feature.
According to Perez, users who are part of the test will see conversation topics appear beneath their friends? names in the app?s new section, with potential topics including places those friends have visited, songs they have listened to via streaming services or events they have expressed interest in.
