King Launches Shuffle Cats Multiplayer Card Game on Mobile
King announced the release of Shuffle Cats on iOS and Android. The multiplayer card game is based on the game of rummy, and it allows users to compete in two-player games as they make their way down Lucky Lane.
In each game of Shuffle Cats, each player starts with seven cards, and they will take turns drawing and discarding cards with the goal of creating “melds” that they can play to the game board. A meld can be a set of three cards of the same number, or a run of three or more cards of the same suit that are in numerical order (for instance, the ace, two and three of hearts).
Once melds have been played, both users can continue to play extra cards to the melds, so long as they fit each set or run. Players will earn points as they create melds and play extra cards to the board, and the first player to reach 10 points wins the game. As users win games, they’ll receive gems, the game’s main currency, which can be spent on entry fees to access matches in the game’s eight Card Clubs on Lucky Lane. The entry fees and gem prizes for winning increase as users move from one Card Club to the next. Users can also play in previous Card Clubs if they’re running low on gems.
In addition, uses will earn experience points as they play, which will allow them to unlock special Lucky Charms over time. Users can bring a single Lucky Charm with them into some games, and these Lucky Charms each have a different effect on games. For ...
