Microsoft Brings Minecraft to Oculus Rift

Microsoft and Mojang announced the launch of Oculus Rift support in Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta. All owners of the game on Windows 10 can now download the Minecraft application from the Oculus Store for free.
With this release, Mojang added keyboard and mouse support to the virtual reality experience, as well as “VR control options for immersive comfortable turning with the Xbox One controller.”
In an Xbox Wire news post, Mike McGrath, Minecraft AR/VR developer, detailed some of the game’s additional changes:
We?re also supporting MSAA in VR for crisp visuals, and there are new render distance settings that will put your powerful VR graphics card into good use. Many VR-specific options that affect comfort or rendering performance are recorded separately, so you can customize your VR experience and still retain your traditional Minecraft experience exactly how you left it ? when you left the real world, for the world of VR Minecraft. In addition to these updates, the Oculus Rift version of Minecraft includes the VR-specific features previously introduced in the Gear VR version of the game, which launched in April. This includes a virtual living room, which allows users to play the game from a virtual armchair. Mojang said this “minimize[s] the intensity of VR without breaking play.”
