Mobile Game Roundup: Halloween 2016 Edition



As Halloween quickly approaches, many mobile game developers have released Halloween-themed updates for their games.
For instance, EA Mobile released a Treehouse of Horror update in The Simpsons: Tapped Out, which allows users to help Lisa film a horror movie in Springfield.
EA Mobile also released a Halloween update in The Sims FreePlay, which allows users to complete a “Night of the Candy Monsters” quest. The Night of the Candy Monsters quest was also part of the game’s Halloween update in 2015.
In addition, EA Mobile released six new Halloween-themed items in SimCity BuildIt. These items include a Graveyard, a Scary Carousel and a Mansion of Horror.
Elsewhere, Niantic announced the upcoming release of a Halloween update in Pokemon Go, which will allow players to earn extra Pokemon Candy and encounter more “spooky” Pokemon for a limited time. The Pokemon Go Halloween update will take place from Oct. 26 to Nov. 1. Finally, Bethesda released a Halloween update in Fallout Shelter, which allows users to win Halloween-themed outfits as quest rewards. Users will also be able to unlock “spooky” new room themes for a limited time.
