Not wanting to be left out of the video frenzy, Pinterest announced Thursday that it is developing a fully integrated native video player.
Product manager Steve Davis revealed the news in a blog post, saying that the new video player and other improvements?chief among them personalized video recommendations??will start hitting Pinterest over the next few months.?
Davis wrote that Pinterest has seen its video total increase by 60 percent over the past year, particularly in the categories of workouts, home projects and hair and beauty, and he added that Pinterest users were twice as likely to try out ideas they discovered on the social network when they were accompanied by videos.
