Niantic announced new daily bonuses that are coming to Pokemon Go in a future update. The bonuses will reward users with extra experience points and other items the first time they capture a Pokemon or visit a PokeStop each day.
Specifically, the first time a player catches a Pokemon each day, they will receive a bonus of 500 experience points and 600 Stardust, the game’s currency, in addition to the rewards they’d normally receive for catching the Pokemon. If players capture at least one Pokemon every day for seven days in a row, they’ll receive a larger bonus of 2,000 experience points and 2,400 Stardust.
In terms of PokeStops, the first time players visit a PokeStop each day, they’ll receive a bonus of 500 experience points and “a number of additional items.” If players visit a PokeStop every day for seven days in a row, they’ll receive a bonus of 2,000 experience points and “a greater number of additional items.” In a blog post, Niantic offered an example of how the daily bonus timers will work:
If you catch a Pokemon at any time on Tuesday local time, you?ll be eligible for the next daily bonus on Wednesday at midnight local time.
