Niantic, The Pokemon Company and Starbucks partnered to transform real-world Starbucks locations into PokeStops and Gyms within popular mobile game Pokemon Go.
With this partnership, more than 7,800 company-operated Starbucks locations across the U.S. will be added as PokeStops and Gyms within the game. In addition, when users visit Starbucks locations, they’ll now have the option to try a new Pokemon Go Frappuccino beverage.

 
According to a release, the drink “starts with a Vanilla Bean Frappuccino and blends in raspberry syrup with freeze-dried whole blackberries, topped with whipped cream.”
In a statement, John Hanke, CEO of Niantic, commented:
Starbucks has played an important role in creating welcoming places for people to come together for refreshment and social engagement. The physical locations component of the collaboration is important to us as we look for ways to use technology to encourage exploration, exercise and real-world social interaction, and Starbucks? footprint throughout the U.S. provides an awesome platform. This news follows the recent announcement that Sprint had become Pokemon Go’s first U.S. partner. Niantic’s partnership with Sprint will see more than 10,500 Sprint locations around the U.S. become PokeStops and Gyms within the game.
