Bring Justice To Internet Ne'Er-Do-Wells In Hypnospace Outlaw
Hypnospace Outlaw claims that it will have you policing the internet of the future, cruising around sites looking for shenanigans on the Hypnospace Highway. Still, as you're combing through chatlogs and checking sweet pages about Cool Dudes for hidden underhanded undertakings, you may notice that something is up. Maybe it's your suspicious manual that seems awfully sentient. Maybe it's the people you're spying on.
Or maybe it's just the old timey internet look, which developer Jay Tholen (creator of the lovely Dropsy) has clearly been having a ball re-creating.
Currently on Kickstarter, Hypnospace Outlaw needs you to enlist as a Hypno Enforcer, someone who'll enforce Hypnospace law (whatever that entails). This means travelling the information highway in your cruiser, keeping an eye on what people are chatting about, and peeping sites like CoolPunk Paradise and Goodtime Valley for suspicious activity. Or, I guess you could play with your virtual pet on your desktop. You know, whichever seems more important.
Meanwhile, your actions will help create the music that follows you on your law-enforcement journey. Using a very-neat system, Hypnospace Outlaw will alter its music depending on your behavior, as well as have some great midi loops just to top off that old internet feel.
It is difficult to describe how much I want this game to happen. Apparently, a part of me has always pined for lost days on old Angelfire sites.
