Few games out there dare to ask the really important questions, such as "why is that weird chicken talking in rhymes"", "what's up with all the cheese lying around"", and "did I really just blow up a planet"" Thankfully, Doctor Kvorak's Obliteration Game, a 3D puzzle platformer which can also be enjoyed in VR, is not afraid to tackle these touchy subjects.

You see, galactic supervillain Doctor Kvorak - completely with terrible accent, delusions of grandeur, and all that - has, uh, invited you to take part in his devious gameshow. It's not all fun and games and funny accents though; obliteration is the name of the game, and the loser is responsible for whole planets being destroyed. Think Running Man meets Mars Attacks.
In order to win wonderful prizes and avert horrible tragedy, you have to puzzle your way through fifteen increasingly harder levels full of traps, levers, boxes, and various doodads to collect. You can also pick up some weird artefacts which allow you to dress up, because who wouldn't like to save the world with a traffic cone or a sombrero on their head"

Granted, it's not the prettiest puzzler around and the controls feel a little clunky, but when you're playing as a pudgy blue alien, that feels strangely fitting. (I fail to come up with excuses for the nonstop barrage of electronic music assaulting your senses, mind you.) Either way, it's certainly deeper and less silly than you might give it c...
