Hellhunter challenges you to investigate and defeat otherworldly horrors
In most games, supernatural terrors are simply means to add creepy enemies for you to blow away and slice apart, or as things lurking in the shadows waiting to scare and unsettle. But Hellhunter takes a different approach. Reminiscent of the popular show Supernatural, you're an investigator first, monster slayer second, so your most useful tools aren't your arsenal of guns, but special equipment designed to locate and learn about otherworldly threats.
As a freelance investigator, your hunting grounds are procedurally-generated locations throughout the city, from suburban homes to abandoned asylums, and your prey is whatever supernatural being awaits within. When you arrive at the place in your equipment-laden van, you won't know what creature lurks inside, and attempting to fight without knowledge and preparation will only get you killed. A line of salt in a doorway helps you to track demonic footprints. Infrared and night vision goggles highlight details and monsters invisible to the naked eye, while a black light reveals fluids and blood in the carpet and floorboards. Each discovery lets you to narrow down the danger through a checklist in your journal, but whether it's a poltergeist, werewolf, or changeling, eventually you'll need to fight back.
