Nothing To See Here, Just Some Russian Subway Dogs

Wait, whaaat" You read that right: Russian Subway Dogs. They are a thing, you know. Living in the Moscow subway, taking the train, fighting bears... Maybe not the part about bears. Either way, Miguel Sternberg, creator of Night of the Cephalopods and They Bleed Pixels, is working on a game about those doggie comrades.

In this score attack game, you play as a stray dog scavenging for food from passengers, dodging volatile vodka, rival dogs, and the rare and dangerous Subway bear! Each stage is set against the unique architecture of one of Moscow's subway stations, which are full of little secret systems for you to discover. These range from simply cooking food with vodka explosions to over feeding bears before setting them alight so you can feast on extra tasty bear-b-q.
Russian Subway Dogs started as a Jam game - in fact, we covered it back then - and is currently looking for Kickstarter funding in order to add stuff like new art, a mission mode, Steam integration, cute dog hats, and a lot more polish in general. Rewards include plush subway pups, pixel prints and the chance to have your pet in the game. You'll find the Kickstarter campaign here and more information on Spooky Squid and their other games over here.
