Plug Me - A Platformer Where The Timer Really, REALLY Matters
Plug Me is a platformer with a strict timer on it, forcing players to navigate its cute world in a hurry if they wish to keep the city of Plug Me from tumbling down from the skies. However, the timer they're trying to stay ahead of is also a physical object in the world that the players will need in order to hop over obstacles or make certain jumps, so players will really need to make sure their timing is down if they hope to succeed.
Plug Me presents players with a variety of stages to jump through, dodging spiked traps, pits, and other troublemakers who make life difficult for Plugman. While leaping around will be key to surviving all of these, the player will need to be mindful of the physical timer that runs through each level. Once this bar runs out, the player will lose, but the bar might also be covering up spikes, be in the way of certain jumping areas, or be needed in order to clear a spot with a leap. This means that players will need to keep a close eye on it in order to see if it is in the right place when you need it, out of the way when you don't, or whether it's draining too fast to win.
Plug Me's developers did realize they might be putting players through a lot in having to survive when even the timer is against them, so there are some mechanics that will keep players from losing their temper after repeat losses.
