Only kids born in the year 198X will remember the stuff that Super Rad Raygun will be bringing up when it releases this November on Steam. You just won't understand things like giant robot communist bears taking over the world, pop stars/oil barons/Mortal Kombat characters, backlit machines out to save mankind, and excessive pea green if you weren't born in that era.
Super Rad Raygun's sidescrolling Game Boy shooter action may have been a little too easy the last I looked at it , but it was still nonstop, lighthearted fun. The game features tons of hidden power-ups to help Rad Raygun beat back the robot communist threat, letting you customize your playthrough however you like. Also, the menagerie of bosses - all silly jabs at eighties games and celebrities - will have you chuckling as you struggle to figure out their patterns and attacks.
If you're looking for a lighthearted trip to a few decades ago, some sweet shooter action, a goofy sense of humor, and excessive amounts of green, you need to be on the lookout for this game come November.
