Super Rad Raygun's Explosive, Power-Up Filled Pea-Green Action Is Available Now
With an election hanging over many a head today, it's nice to go back to the simpler days of 198X when the enemy was an evil Russian bear/scientist, and a heroic game boy known as Rad was set to save us all using a slew of neat power-ups. Super Rad Raygun, your action-packed pea-green, ridiculous 80's name-dropping balm against the woes of today, is finally here.
Birthed from the already-great Rad Raygun that came out on XBLIG, Super Rad Raygun will have players controller a living game system with a strong sense of justice. Taking cues from Mega Man, Rad will blast his way across a variety of locations from 80's history, facing off against weird amalgamations of important figures, cartoon heroes, video game characters, and pop stars, shooting them u in sweet, sweet sidescrolling action.
Power-ups are what will make every game interesting, though, giving rad a variety of boosts to his strength, speed, mobility, and more (what Game Boy should be without a back light, after all"). These are all powered by a battery system that will force you to make hard decisions on what to equip. Can't have every great power-up on at once, after all.
Fueled by a pounding, awesome soundtrack by FantomenK, Super Rad Raygun strikes that perfect balance of shooting action, great tunes, cheesy jokes, and pure heart.
Super Rad Raygun is available for $9.99 on Steam (and comes with its AMAZING soundtrack). For more information on the game and developer Tru Fun Entertainment, y...
