Trailer Roundup for August 24, 2016
Today's trailer roundup has a mix of developers who are trying new things and those trying to revive old things.
12 Orbits
Windows, OSX, Linux, iOS, Android | $2 | Available now | Greenlight
The developers of 12 Orbits are touting it as a game which allows simultaneous 12-player multiplayer, even on touchscreens. The design is certainly such that not everyone has to be touching the screen at once. For more details on the gameplay, check out their tutorial video.
Burly Men at Sea
Windows, OSX | $10 | September 29, 2016
Husband and wife team Brain&Brain has announced the release date for their delightful, interactive folktale.
Crazy Machines 3
Windows | $TBA | October 18, 2016
From the developer: "Crazy Machines 3 is the most advanced and extensive Rube Goldberg style puzzle and physics game of all times [sic]."
Fan the Sea
Windows | $10+ | December 2017 | Kickstarter | Greenlight
This game is to be a non-combat RPG in which the player is a spy who must manipulate the people around him to achieve his mission. The Kickstarter page describes a neat-looking trust system that requires the player to consider the personalities of each individual NPC when deciding how to deal with them.
Legend of the Skyfish
iOS | $4 | Available now
This game is obviously inspired by the 2D Zelda games, but the main character here uses only a fishing pole. It's both their weapon and their grappling hook. And the art style is lovely.
