Captain Toad has made his adorable way onto the Nintendo Switch. The once Wii U only game was recently released on Nintendo’s latest console and I am very pleased with the results. Be in a fan of the game from the Wii U era, Captain Toad is truly a gorgeous little puzzle game that boasts over 70 levels as well as all new content for Switch owners.

I have to start out this review by saying I am HUGE fan of this game. I fully understand that Captain Toad might not be YOUR first choice when it comes to “killer-system-selling games” but that doesn’t mean this game doesn’t deserve your attention. I found Captain Toad to be a breath of fresh air and the fact that it has arrived on Nintendo Switch just makes it all the more better. When we originally picked this game up for Wii U, we fell in love with the charming graphics and perfect gameplay. It was a nice little surprise when it was originally released and I was happy to “double dip” on this one for the Switch. I know that Nintendo has been re-releasing a number of games for the Switch but the portable aspect of the system really gives these already great games another life on its hybrid system. If you have never played Captain Toad, there is a TON of fun to be had.
