Microsoft is Shutting Down Mixer And Partnering With Facebook Gaming



Microsoft has revealed that they will be shutting down Mixer (its streaming service similar to Twitch) and will now be partnering with Facebook Gaming for their streaming needs. The news comes as Mixer has been on a steady decline and it looks as though Microsoft wanted to explore their options. When I first heard this news earlier today, I immediately thought of their HUGE contract deals with Ninja and other popular streamers as the company shelled out an enormous amount of money to get these popular gaming personalities onto their platform. Apparently, Ninja, Shroud, and other top streamers are now free to rejoin Twitch or stream on Facebook Gaming. Oh to be Ninja or one of these other top streamers. They made a boatload of money and now are considered free agents.
