We want to let you know that Jeff Kaplan has decided to leave the company after a long and storied career here, and that Aaron Keller, a Blizzard veteran and founding member of the Overwatch team, will be stepping in as game director.

Read that again friends; Jeff Kaplan has announced that he will be leaving Blizzard after 19 years of service. The former Overwatch lead shared this news earlier today via the Blizzard website. Overwatch will now be in the hands of Aaron Keller as he is the new Game director for the hotly anticipated Overwatch 2 game. I am very eager to hear more about the game and I am going to guess that Blizzard will be sharing more details in the very near future due to this announcement.
I hope both sides came to terms with this decision and Kaplan always seemed very passionate about the series and I am sad to see him go. Either way, I think we will be hearing more about the game in the very near future.
