The recent release, Octopath Traveler for the Nintendo Switch, is off to a tremendous start in terms of retail sales. The game has been reportedly selling out in numerous places and has also hit the number one spot on the Switch’s eShop. The square developed Switch-exclusive has a unique look and has placed the JRPG genre back on the map. I have yet to experience the full game as of this writing but I am hoping to change that in the near future. I downloaded the demo when it originally hit and I loved every minute of it. I fell in love with the art style and the gameplay reminded me of an old Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest game. I am hoping to add this to my Switch game library very soon. Great news for JRPG’s and Switch owners.
