This just in, Shawn Layden has left PlayStation. That’s right my friends, Shawn Layden will be stepping down as Sony Worldwide Studios chairman. This news broke via Playstation’s Twitter account and they had the following to say regarding this manner:
It is with great emotion that we announce that Worldwide Studios Chairman Shawn Layden will be departing SIE. His visionary leadership will be greatly missed. We wish him success in future endeavors and are deeply grateful for his years of service. Thanks for everything, Shawn! I am pretty sure Mr. Layden will be retiring and not going to any other company. If anything changes, we will let you know.
