Sony has announced that The Last of Us 2 has officially been delayed “indefinitely”. This news comes from the Playstation Twitter account, so check out what they had to say below:
Update: SIE has made the difficult decision to delay the launch of The Last of Us Part II and Marvel’s Iron Man VR until further notice. Logistically, the global crisis is preventing us from providing the launch experience our players deserve.
The Last of Us 2 was penciled in for a May release but has now received this bad news. I am expecting that the game will end up simultaneously launching on the PS4 and PS5 later this year. As always, we will keep you updated on all things The Last of Us as it becomes available. Naughty Dog has shared that they are basically done with the hotly anticipated game but with this worldwide pandemic going on, it’s going to make it impossible to launch the game on the original date.
