Yakuza 6 Review



Welcome dear readers to my review of Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. This is the final installment in Sega’s long running Yakuza franchise which I hate to see go, but Sega does give Kiryu an epic send off.
The story here revolves around main character Kazuma Kiryu, also known by his nickname the Dragon of Dojima. Kazuma has been the main character of the series since it’s inception and he’s getting up there in years which the thugs you run into will often comment on. Wondering how they’re getting tossed around by an old man. And a good beating is what they, and every one else who gets in his way, can expect from the Dragon of Dojima. You see, the story this time around revolves around Kazuma’s adoptive daughter Haruka who runs off and has a baby. Early in the game we find out Haruka has been involved in a hit-and-run and is now comatose is a hospital. When she was struck by the car she wrapped her body around her baby, Haruto. Now Kazuma is taking care of the baby and trying to find out who the father is and why anyone would want to try and kill Haruka.
The story is extremely well written and the cast of characters is played by some very well known Japanese TV and movie starts. While most Americans won’t recognize them they might just recognize Beat Takeshi as some of his movies have even made the jump to the States.
