Arkane Hopes Players Give Dishonored’s DLC a Shot Before Playing Sequel

If you haven’t given Dishonored‘s Knife of Dunwall or Brigmore Witches DLC a chance, then Bethesda wants you to try them out them before you pick up the sequel. Speaking to GamesRadar at QuakeCon 2016, Arkane Studios’ Harvey Smith said that the DLC serves as a “bridge, in a way, to the new content.”

I’m not just saying this because I want people to buy our game, but I really hope people play the DLC. Dunwall City Trials are fun challenge modes, but The Knife of Dunwall and The Brigmore Witches are really good chapter pieces after we had really figured out the game. So they’re better in a way.
And they also were a step toward where we went with Dishonored 2. There are more women in interesting roles than the narrow roles they have before. We really understood our world. And it’s a bridge, in a way, to the new content.
One of the villains in the upcoming title, Delilah Copperspoon, was originally introduced in The Brigmore Witches. The Knife of Dunwall, on the other hand, allows us to play the game from Daud’s perspective.
Smith believes that the DLC, which is included in Dishonored Definitive Edition, is a bit of an “appetizer.”
Dishonored 2 launches on November 11 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
