Koei Tecmo has just held a live stream for Attack on Titan 2, where they published the world premiere gameplay footage as well as a lot more brand-new features into this sequel of Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom.

The biggest news to come from this live stream is that Attack on Titan 2 is confirmed to have a character creation system. That’s right, that means you can now finally create your own character in the Attack on Titan universe!
As with Koei Tecmo’s recent titles like Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires, Bladestorm: Nightmare, and Toukiden 2, the character creation system in Attack on Titan 2 is very well-detailed, as you will be able to edit facial parts, body height, and even the colors of your outfit.

You will play the Story Mode, which contains story from the 1st and 2nd seasons of the Attack on Titan anime, from the perspective of your original character as you join the 104th Training Corps under instructor Keith Shadis’ tutelage. You will get conversation events with the series characters, where you are sometimes given choices of answers that will determine which characters will have better relationships with you.

Other news coming from this live stream includes the addition of Ymir into the playable character roster, accompanying Krista Lenz who has been playable from the previous game. Some characters like Krista will also have casual clothing that they will wear at some points in the game.
