Days Gone Gets Delayed to April To Add Polish and Avoid a Crowded Release Window



Originally schedule to launch on February 22, 2019, you’re going to have to wait a little bit longer to get your hands on Bend Studio’s upcoming PlayStation exclusive title. The Days Gone release date has been delayed to April 26, 2019. Sony Worldwide Studios and Bend Studio explained that they wanted to move it out of the crowded February release window, and the move allows them some extra time to add a little bit more polish to the game.
Sony Worldwide Studios announced the change on the PlayStation Blog:
We want to share a change in release date for this highly anticipated title from Bend Studio. We recently decided to move the release of Days Gone from the crowded February timeframe to April 26, 2019. While the studio is eager to see Days Gone in the hands of fans, Bend Studio will take the opportunity to further polish Days Gone. Days Gone is an open-world game where players will take on the role of Deacon St. John, a biker who is just trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic and infected dynamic world. If the premise sounds familiar, that’s because it’s similar to a number of different properties. Bend Studio promises that the game will offer a living and changing open-world that will make every player’s experience with the game unique, even as its core premise remains familiar.
