Double Dragon IV Releases in North America a Day Earlier Than Previously Announced
We previously reported that Double Dragon IV will release worldwide on January 30 for the PlayStation 4 and PC. We were wrong. Not very wrong, though. Arc System Works quietly published a press release this weekend, announcing that its next installment in the classic beat’em up series will release via PlayStation Network on January 29 in North America (PC gets it via Steam the next day). Release date for Japan remains unchanged.
There’s still no pricing info for the West nor a lot of details, with Arc System writing:
Key team members involved in the 1987 arcade version including Original Planner, Yoshihisa Kishimoto, Designer, Koji Ogata, and Composer, Kazunaka Yamane, have teamed up to recreate the next chapter in the Double Dragon saga.
Â
Billy and Jimmy Lee are back and they’ve brought the 80’s with them except the battlefield has moved to Japan!
The game has a Teen rating, and supports 1-2 players (offline only).
