Jump Festa was a treat for Dragon Quest fans this year as Square Enix not only showcased gameplay from the PlayStation 4 versions of both, Dragon Quest X and Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time, but it also revealed details about the latter including its release window.
First things first, Dragon Quest XI will be releasing in Japan in 2017 for the PS4 and 3DS. A Nintendo Switch version is also in development. As expected, a Western release hasn’t been announced for the single-player RPG but here’s hoping it’ll eventually happen. In the meantime, here’s some footage alongside details released thus far:

A reliable partner. He is a blue-haired thief that the protagonist encounters on his journey. Although there is a rude side to his behavior and speech, he possesses a strong sense of duty and a warm heart. As a partner used to the ways of the world, he supports and guides the novice protagonist.
