The Tokyo Game Show might be in full swing, but that doesn’t mean we have no news of Japanese games coming Westward. Koei Tecmo America has announced a release window for the latest installment in one of the company’s most popular franchises, Dynasty Warriors. Dynasty Warriors 9 is set to release early 2018 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Koei Tecmo also released a new trailer to go along with the announcement:

The new trailer reveals some new environments, as well as new ways to fight. Koei Tecmo has a bit more information about it:
In addition to introducing the game?s story, characters, and locations, the trailer highlights the brand-new State Combo system. This diverse action system offers players a wide selection of options during attacks. Flow Attacks create move-set combos that differ depending on the enemy?s position and seamlessly continue when enemies become prone, are in mid-air, or stunned. Reactive Attacks are extremely versatile and can range from counterattacks, dash attacks, assaults, to guard breaks and finish moves. Trigger Attacksare powerful moves that change an enemy’s state.
