Final Fantasy XV Passes Six Million Copies Shipped
Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XV has now moved over six million copies since launch in late November. This number includes the amount of physical units shipped to retailers plus digital sales.
“Having received critical acclaim across the world for its beautiful world design and graphical quality, along with the open-world freedom and exciting new battle system, the game continues its strong sales after recording five million units on day one,” Square Enix said.
If you have the Holiday Pack (free or paid version), the limited time Moogle Chocobo Carnival in-game event that brings a festival to the whole city of Altissia will begin on Tuesday, January 24. With 2017 set to be a year where Square Enix gives back to players, the company revealed that “regular updates enhancing the main game will be coming soon, such as premium DLC content that will provide players additional gameplay experiences.” We’ll likely hear more about their 2017 plans for Final Fantasy XV in the next Active Time Report, which is “coming soon.”
