Get a Glimpse Call of Duty: WWII’s Basketball-like Gridiron Mode
Call of Duty: WWII is nearing its November 4 release, but that doesn’t mean we have to sit on our hands and wait for the game to release! Charlie Intel has some new… intel on the latest title of the Call of Duty franchise, including some information on the Gridiron mode and the newly unveiled London map. Michael Condrey, Co-Studio Head of Sledgehammer Games, also has a few statements on some recent events involving WWII.
First though, a quick primer on the Gridiron mode. Gridiron is set to be a modified version of the Uplink mode from Infinite Warfare, which is a lot like basketball, with drones. Gridiron will be a “boots on the ground take” of the Uplink mode; there won’t be drones this time around, understandably. Now, via Charlie Intel, Michael Condrey has a bit more to say about Gridiron and the new London multiplayer map:
?We are super proud of the game and cannot wait to play it with the community, so please hang on for a bit as November 3rd is almost here. In the meantime, here?s a first look at our London map in multiplayer. It?s a studio favorite for domination, hardpoint, and TDM, and we think it could be a standout for the competitive season ahead. Also, it?s a lot of fun for the new Gridiron game mode coming at launch, here?s a taste.?
