Japanese Sales Chart: PS4 Sales up, Final Fantasy XV Crosses 900,000
In the first full week of 2017, there weren’t any notable new releases, but software sales did see an increase, with Super Mario Maker for 3DS finishing in first after rising by 27,000 copies. Minecraft: PlayStation Vita Edition was the highest-charting PlayStation game in 4th (up 8,200), while Final Fantasy XV for PS4 sold 23,300 copies and pushed its lifetime total over 900,000.
On the hardware side of things, PS4 repeated at #1, rising by 5,000 units and easily defeating the 2nd place New 3DS LL. PS Vita sales were also up, keeping the handheld in 3rd, but PS4 Pro sales fell by nearly 1,700. PS4 Pro and Xbox One were the only systems to see week-on-week drops.
