Japanese Sales Chart: Shadow of War Takes Top Spot, Lost Sphear Makes Top 10
Another week, and another newcomer on top of the Japanese sales charts, as Middle-earth: Shadow of War took the spot this week. The newly released action-adventure game just barely sold better than the runner up, Splatoon 2. Last week?s top seller, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser?s Minions, slid all the way down to the #4 spot, while FIFA 18 dropped all the way to #7.
Once again, Nintendo seemed to dominate the top 10, with four of the top five highest selling games this week coming from the publisher. For the third straight week, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite was nowhere to be found, and it?s best to assume it won?t be coming back for some time. In terms of hardware, the Nintendo Switch once again dominated the competition, with the PlayStation 4 coming in at second for another week. According to Media Create, here?s the 20 best-selling retail games (new releases in bold), along with how each system sold in Japan from October 9 to October 15, 2017:
