Mass Effect Andromeda Animations Won’t Be Addressed Before Launch



With EA Access and Origin Access subscribers getting access to Mass Effect Andromeda this week, and more and more gameplay videos going live, people have called attention to some of the in-game animations and bugs they’ve seen (beware of spoilers in the above video). Producer Michael Gamble even addressed some of the feedback, saying, “We appreciate the critiques (and memes!), but I am very happy to see how much y’all like the game after 10 hours… and… it gets even better.”
Asked if the animations would be improved in time for launch, Lead Designer Ian Frazier said no, but something could happen post-launch:

Frazier says the same is true for the character creator:

The day one patch for Mass Effect Andromeda is already included in the early access version on Xbox One and PC, and it’s already available on PlayStation 4. According to the patch notes for update 1.03, it includes quest balancing, bug fixes and stability improvements, improvements to quest tracking and waypoints, improvements to many cinematics, conversations, and other character interactions, and more.
