New Trailer for Media Molecule’s Dreams Shown At The Game Awards, Releasing in 2018
Since it was announced at E3 2015, Dreams has fallen off the radar. Fans have been clamoring for the next title from LittleBigPlanet developer Media Molecule, but it has fallen off the radar in the last year or so. Media Molecule has consistently taken to reassuring fans that it hasn’t been canceled. Dreams is finally back in the public view at this year’s PlayStation Experience. The trailer released at The Game Awards shows a number of really creative new things that have been created in its sandbox, showing just what is possible.
Now we know that they are targeting a 2018 release date for the game. A beta for Dreams was supposed to come this year, but at this point there’s no word on if it has been canceled altogether or just shifted to next year. We’ll be getting a look at Dreams at PlayStation Experience this weekend, but you can read our preview from PSX 2015 here. I didn?t want to leave. I had so much else to see at PlayStation Experience, but I could have spent the entire two days mesmerized by Dreams. In fact, given enough time and creative energy, everything at PlayStation Experience could probably be largely recreated using Dreams, and that?s hardly an exaggeration. Did I mention that creations can be exported" I probably should mention that point. They had a few 3D printed models of creations made in Dreams. I was holding a physical statue, something sculpted on the PS4. I was in awe, truly joyous at everything I had just seen.
