Overwatch Competitive Mode Rewards Revealed, Season One Ending Soon
Blizzard has announced that the first season of Overwatch‘s Competitive Play will come to an end on Wednesday, August 17, at 5pm PT (August 18, 12am UTC).Â
Those who have completed placement matches during the inaugural season will be eligible to receive a special spray and player icon, which will be unlocked automatically when you log in following the season’s end. If you landed a spot in the Top 500 players on your platform of choice and region, you’ll get an extra player icon and animated spray on top of other awards.Â
Alongside the above, you’ll also receive Competitive Points based on maximum Skill Rating achieved during the season. The Skill Rating and Competitive Points breakdown is as follows:
SR 0-39: 10 CPs
SR 40-45: 20 CPs
SR 46-49: 40 CPs
SR 50-52: 60 CPs
SR 53-55: 80 CPs
SR 56-59: 120 CPs
SR 60-64: 200 CPs
SR 65+: 300 CPs
Blizzard has said that Season Two is expected to commence on September 6 provided that the developer is able to finish making the necessary system improvements by then. A confirmation will follow in the coming weeks.
