With the Persona 5 review embargo now lifted (expect our review next week), Polygon has revealed that the PlayStation 4 version doesn’t allow you to use the system’s Share features to capture screenshots or video.
In a statement, Atlus said this is because Persona 5 is a story-based game and they want to try to keep spoilers to a minimum:
This being a Japanese title with solely a single-playthrough story means Japan is very wary about it. Sharing is currently blocked through the native PS4 UI.
Even after Persona 5 launches on April 4 in North America and Europe, sharing will continue to be blocked.
Earlier this month, the Persona website updated to give us details on the post-launch DLC for Persona 5. Now, Atlus has offered up full details on the DLC schedule for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions: April 4
