If there was one thing that the PC platformers were lacking in the MS-DOS era, it was grit. There platformers-a-plenty during this formative period and most titles featured color saturations that could make even Lisa Frank wince. Rad Rodgers takes the design formula that was perfected by gangbuster publishers like Apogee, and then throws its aesthetic directly into the literal and figurative gutter.
