Some PlayStation VR Games Require Move Controllers, Sony Now Says

Earlier this week, Sony sent a statement to Eurogamer that said all PlayStation VR games will support the DualShock 4. In a new response sent to The Verge today though, they’ve changed their original statement and now say some games will require PlayStation Move motion controllers:

Nearly all PlayStation VR titles will support DualShock 4 controllers, and several games will deliver an enhanced experience that further immerses gamers with the use of peripherals such as Move or the recently announced Aim controller. There will be a limited number of titles that require Move controllers.

Although Sony didn’t say exactly which games require Move controllers, Owlchemy Labs’ Alex Schwartz said, “Job Simulator requires two Move controllers to play on PSVR.” He then added that Job Simulator will be a PlayStation VR launch title. Back in December when Job Simulator was announced for PSVR, Schwartz explained why the game uses two Move controllers:

Job Simulator is all about using your actual hands to interact with the world. The game relies on two tracked PS Move Controllers, one for each hand, to manipulate the environment. Once you?ve reached into the world with 1:1 tracked hands to pick up and throw items, you can never go back! Interacting with objects feels so natural that you don?t need to think ?How do I pull this lever"? It just works.

You can also expect Job Simulator to run at 90 frames-per-second, and the game encourages you to stand...
