In an accidental leak seen around the world, Star Wars Battlefront II was revealed in its first game-engine-powered cinematic trailer. Electronic Arts invited us out to the Star Wars Celebration for a special presentation of the game, and we?ve got the details ready for you below.
Filling in the Pieces
While the original (rebooted) Star Wars Battlefront was a solid game, it was missing quite a few things. The biggest among them would easily be the lack of a single-player campaign. Battlefront II gives players that, and then some. You play as a new hero as a part of official Star Wars canon, but she?s a hero of a different kind. Battlefront II takes place immediately after the end of The Return of the Jedi. The Death Star 2 has been demolished. You play as Iden Versio, member of an elite unit known as the Inferno Squad in the Imperial forces. With no Emperor to follow, others look to you to lead. You are now tasked with picking up the pieces of a shattered regime and enacting revenge.
